Do parents ask you how they can help or work with their child? Would you LOVE for parents to work with their child at home but just not sure how to do that?
The Parent Pack just might be your answer! I created this to give to my parents at parent conferences. I wanted to give my parents simple and easy ways they could work with their child and get more involved. Parents loved them and were so appreciative that I gave them simple and easy ideas, tips, activities, games, and strategies that would help their child be more successful.
The Parent Pack includes:
~ Reading tips and strategies
~ Math tips and strategies
~ Critical thinking stems
~ Math games that are simple and easy to implement
I like to give these out at parent conferences instead of at the beginning of school because I like to teach all of these strategies and games to my students first. That way they can "help" their parents when practicing them at home, and parents like that their child already knows them.
Some quotes from parents who have used this:
"These are great! I especially like the egg carton tip, the thinking cards and tips on reading."
"I love it! If parents use these tools just imagine the mind of the kids blossoming into great conversations about anything."
"Who knew math could be FUN?! Math is my least favorite subject to help my kids with (because I too struggled as a child). These ideas make it fun for them...and ME!
I really like the idea of the "thinking cards" to open up some creative dialogue with my kids, when we would otherwise just be plowing through a book, movie, etc. It allows them to offer an opinion (which they always have one), and opens MY eyes to whether or not they actually understand/grasp what we just read or watched."

Howdy! Thanks for checking out my store. Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
I'm from the great state of Texas, born and raised, so I'm southern all the way. I went to Texas A&M University and am a proud member of the Class of '95. Gig 'em! I also have my Masters in Education from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have 17 years experience in the classroom, from 2nd grade - 6th grade. As well as teaching in Texas, I also took a huge leap of faith and taught in Korea for a year. I taught English to blind students with disabilities, and it was the best experience of my whole life. I'm single and have 3 furry children, including one blind dog and one 3-legged dog. They are my loves.
I love bringing fun, laughter, choice, and creativity to the classroom. I hope that you will find those in my products. I absolutely love creating products for teachers to use in their classroom. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]
