Product Description

Do you like to PRINT and TEACH? Me, too!  My Royal Numbers (0-20) is full of PRINT and TEACH pages of wonderful hands-on learning! These sheets are designed to help your Kindergarten students meet the Common Core Standards while having FUN along the way. They are also a great review for First Graders and can be used with Preschoolers, who are just beginning to learn their numbers and number order. Each page is dedicated to discovering all there is to know about the given number. This pack also includes three missing number/number order practice sheets.

When your students have mastered 0-20 it is time to CELEBRATE! Give your Princes and Princesses certificates and royal crowns that they can decorate and wear to celebrate their achievement!

14 Activities on Each Page (Numbers 0-12):

1. Color and count the given number graphically
2. Glue the given number next to its name
3. Spell and trace the number word
4. Read, by sound mapping, the number word--see the note below
5. Trace the number
6. See the number counted on fingers*
7. See the number counted on dominos*
8. See the number counted on dice*
9. See the number tallied*
10. See the number as that hour on an analog clock*
11. Glue in the numbers that come before and after the given number (they must choose the two correct numbers from four possible answers)*
12. Dot (ten frame) the number
13. Find and color, or dot, the given number—using a variety of fonts to help your students recognize the number in various printed and published styles.
14. Plot the number and its subsequent jumps on a number line

* These sheets can be adapted to each of your students’ learning levels. Use the “I Can Do it Myself” glue-ons (vs. the ones at the bottom of each page) for your students who are able to write their letters, understand 0-12 number order, and are well acquainted with numbers 1-12 as they appear on dice, dominos and clocks.

13 Activities on Each Page (Numbers 13-20):

1. Color and count the given number graphically
2. Glue the given number next to its name
3. Spell and trace the number word
4. Read, by sound mapping, the number word
5. Trace and write the number
6. Tell if the given number is even or odd
7. Identifying if the given number is greater than, or less than, another number
8. Solve the Sum (writing the missing number that when added to ten equals the given number)
9. See the number tallied*
10. Glue in the numbers that come before and after the given number (they must choose the two correct numbers from four possible answers)*
11. Dot (2 x ten frame) the number
12. Find and color, or dot, the given number—using a variety of fonts to help your students recognize the number in various printed and published styles.
13. Plot the number and its subsequent jumps on a number line

* These sheets can be adapted to each of your students’ learning levels. Have your more advanced students use the number choices and tally marks as a guide—writing their own answers on each page instead of gluing on the tiles.

The number lines in this pack provide your students with an opportunity to SKIP COUNT. Number lines are presented:
**by ones—for numbers 0-8; 11, 13, 17, 19
**by twos—for numbers 12, 14, 18
**by threes—for number 9
**by fours—for number 16
**by fives—for number 10 & 15
**by tens—for number 20

NOTE: Mapping the Sounds (a method used by Read America which I have adapted from their best seller, Reading Reflex) is key to improving your student's reading and spelling proficiency. Have your students say each sound aloud as they touch--with their finger, or dot marker--the sound pictures. The sound pictures are both individual letters and groups of letters (like the 'eigh' in 'eight') that make distinct sounds. The sound pictures in each word are grouped together so your students can easily SEE what letters make each sound.

The aim of Preparilli Press is to train up children--not only to be successful students, but also to LOVE learning. Connect with me on Facebook and at Preparilli Press to see these products in action and grab some great freebies.

Before becoming a homeschooling mom, I received my Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida.  After graduating, I had a career as a base planner for the United States Air Force.  While working at the USAF Academy, I met my pilot-husband and began travelling the US and growing our family.  Since 2005, I have homeschooled our seven children in South Carolina, Washington, New Jersey, Illinois, and now, Alaska! I love being a part of my children's education. We have four boys, three girls and lots of learning styles. Every year brings new learning adventures and challenges--and I look forward to sharing them with you.
