Holidays and celebrations are a GREAT time for K-5s and 1st Graders to work on calendar skills (and a bit of math and word work, too)!
Product Description

On each page of MY CALENDAR: HOLIDAYS & CELEBRATIONS your students will learn about a holiday, plus do lots of FUN math and word work.

Check out the THUMBNAILS to see how the pages are constructed and the variety of days included.

Your students will complete these standard tasks on each holiday/celebration sheet:
* Write the holiday’s date (day & year)
* Decide if the day is odd or even
* Color the day of the week
* Write the date numerically
* Write the month abbreviation
* Dot the ten-frames with the date
* Tally the date
* Dot the date as money
(Each sheet also has a number line).

The rest of each page is dedicated to unique celebration-inspired activities that include: simple word building, counting exercises, number order, order of magnitude, making equations, word problems, identifying fractions and inequalities.

The aim of Preparilli Press is to train up children--not only to be successful students, but also to LOVE learning. Connect with me on Facebook and at Preparilli Press to see these products in action and grab some great freebies.

Before becoming a homeschooling mom, I received my Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida.  After graduating, I had a career as a base planner for the United States Air Force.  While working at the USAF Academy, I met my pilot-husband and began travelling the US and growing our family.  Since 2005, I have homeschooled our seven children in South Carolina, Washington, New Jersey, Illinois, and now, Alaska! I love being a part of my children's education. We have four boys, three girls and lots of learning styles. Every year brings new learning adventures and challenges--and I look forward to sharing them with you.
