MY CALENDAR COMPANION will encourage your students dig a little deeper during calendar time. They will build their own calendars, learn the days of the week--their order and abbreviations; the months of the year--their order, abbreviations, and common holidays in each month; and the four seasons--the day the season begins, the months in each season and seasonal characteristics. Finally, they will learn to write dates numerically and use a year-at-a-glance calendar.
MY CALENDAR COMPANION includes:
** 12 Montly build-your-own calendars ** 2 Yearly calendars (2015 and 2016) ** 2 Numeric date teaching tools ** 74 Month, day, ordinal number and numbers 1-12 calendar cards ** 14 page Months of the Year Responsive Reader ** 4 Months of the Year worksheets ** 9 page Days of the Week Responsive Reader ** 5 Days of the Week and Ordinal Numbers worksheets ** 4 Seasons Posters ** 12 page Four Seasons Responsive Reader ** 2 Seasons worksheets
Your purchase includes an annual update of the yearly calendars and Four Seasons Responsive Reader. (If you plan on beginning "The Four Seasons" Responsive Reader during the summer of 2015, stop by Preparilli Press to get a sheet to use this summer).

Before becoming a homeschooling mom, I received my Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida. After graduating, I had a career as a base planner for the United States Air Force. While working at the USAF Academy, I met my pilot-husband and began travelling the US and growing our family. Since 2005, I have homeschooled our seven children in South Carolina, Washington, New Jersey, Illinois, and now, Alaska! I love being a part of my children's education. We have four boys, three girls and lots of learning styles. Every year brings new learning adventures and challenges--and I look forward to sharing them with you.
