Back again! ;) Hopefully I'll get everything asked this time!
1) Worksheet maker - Is this part of the Soft-Pac software, or is this something that Mac users will be able to utilize?
2) Is this "common core" aligned, or does this program actually make sense? ;)

1. The worksheet maker is not part of Soft-Pak. Everyone can use that, but you do need an internet connection.
2. Please see http://www.mathmammoth.com/faq-common-core.php

Is the software compatible with Mac? Thank you in advance!

Hi - I'm sorry, it's not. Soft-Pak works in Windows only. However, it is not anything essential and is not a part of the Math Mammoth program. It's just a separate bonus. The internet link lists that I provide in the PDF files essentially provide the same things as Soft-Pak, and much more.
I love this program and highly recommend it. We started out with Math-U-See, which was a disaster for us, and switched over to Mammoth. I find that this program does an exceptional job of helping kids develop a deeper understanding of math concepts -- I don't really know how to explain it best, but I find Maria, the author, comes at concepts from a lot of different angles. By the time kids finish with a given concept, they really get it.
Maria Miller, the author of the Math Mammoth books, is a math teacher turned homeschooler. She has a master's degree in mathematics with the teacher educational studies, and minors in physics and statistics. The aim of her books is first and foremost to explain math in very simple terms, yet rigorously, concentrating on understanding of concepts.
