Get ready for St. Patrick's Day as the students read the little rhyme while looking for a leprechaun. It includes many basic sight words to make it easy to read. There are also picture cards included to use for introductions or sequencing of events. This book is easy to put together. Just print, copy, cut, and staple. Now they are ready to be used! You and your students will enjoy this fun rhyme while looking for a leprechaun! After reading the book, the students can continue to practice rhyming when they play the rhyming game. The game is in both color and black and white to save on ink.
I graduated from Longwood College in 1997 and spent the first 14 years of my career as an educator in third and fourth grade classrooms. I loved teaching children, but my passion has always been with teaching reading.
I graduated from the University of Virginia with my Masters in Reading in May 2010 and waited patiently for the moment when I could do what I do most and help struggling readers learn to read! In 2011, that dream came true! Now I spend my days as a reading specialist working with students in Kindergarten through fifth grade as they learn to overcome reading difficulties and work to become stronger readers.
In 2012, I began my blogging journey where I highlight books, ideas, and my days in the classroom. You can visit my blog Reading Toward the Stars to learn more about my life as a reading specialist.
