ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Thanks for visiting my classroom! I'm Becky and I live a rather quiet life with my three best blessings. My husband, Bill, and I have been married for almost 22 years. When we were first married I was in college to be a teacher and knew that working with children is what I wanted to do in my life. I volunteered in Bible school and Sunday school and greatly enjoyed the company of children. When my husband and I decided we were ready to have children of our own, we were unable and suffered losses. After a few years, with the help of God, we were able to have our son. We were overjoyed. Later, we prayed for another child. We had such troubles before, we were a bit frightened. God saw that we were blessed once again with a child, a daughter. These children completed our family. We doted over them and they grew up in the elementary school where I still currently teach with my son spending one year in my classroom and my daughter spending three. Some of the things they remember most are the times we created readers theaters and performed dramas in our room. As they grew up and became teenagers, I missed the things the little kids at my house. They'd rather be out with friends and don't always find the same enthusiasm when a new picture books comes out. I missed them playing with their Thomas trains and reading American Girl books. I am thankful though that I am still able to hear about my students' birthday parties, books they are reading, and watch them play each day at school . I often say I'm getting older and the kids stay the same age. I feel like they keep my young. I appreciate getting to spend time with children and enjoy creating fun things for them to use in the classroom.
