This rotating station activity is a fun way for students to explore the various forms of energy when you are short on time. It can be utilized as a whole class activity where students rotate from one station to the next, or it can be five separate class sessions where each experiment is done as a whole group. I have included the lab sheets in both ways- a set with stations listed on them, and a set without stations listed on them. I have also included a direction page for nearly all the experiments that the students will read and follow in the station and a quick reference poster. This is not a unit plan nor lessons.

I graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors in Science degree and an elementary education certificate. I am certified to teach K-8 Self-Contained and Middle School Science. I have taught ever since graduation, with most of my experience in 5th grade. I'm currently completing my Masters program in Differentiation. I utilize a lot of differentiated strategies along with the workshop model in reading, writing, math, and sometimes science. I love more hands-on activities that are related to real life for students to explore. I'm not a huge fan of worksheets, but do use them occasionally.
