FUN activities with Compound Words! Compound Word Activities is full of games and worksheets that will teach your students about compound words while they have fun. There is a whole group game, three small group games, four worksheets with a teacher key, and ideas for fast finishers.

The students need to identify which ones are compound words so they know which items to purchase. Mix and Match: Students need to match each word on the left with the word on the right that completes the compound word. They will do this by drawing a line connecting the two words. Use Your Words: Students will read the story and, throughout the story, will need two choose between two words to fill in the blank. They will write the word that is a compound word. Then, they will write their own story using those same words that are written in the blanks. Jokester: Students will identify and circle the compound word in each sentence. Then, they will write the first letter of the compound word in the number box that matches the sentence number. Then they will solve the riddle. Students sure love their riddles!
