In this download you will NOT find ideas, resources, crafts, or activities for teaching about Christmas Around the World. This resource is ONLY the journals to reflect on the lessons you are teaching during your unit of study.
How you *might* use these journal sheets!
You will need to decide which country or countries you want your students to research.
Will you teach all of the lessons? Will students do their own research? Will you partner up with other teachers to each teach a country and do a craft? Then students could rotate from teacher to teacher or room to room.
Will students research one country a day? How many countries do you want them to get through?
How will they get information? Will you go the library and check out books? Will you let them do an internet search? Will you give them websites to locate the information? Will you set up a WebQuest or website database from your school page?
Will each student in your class research 2-3 countries on their own to compile one large class book? Will they do presentations of what they have learned as their page is added to the book?
This lesson can be as guided or independent as you would like! The point of these journals is for students to record what they have learned.
Use these journals to reflect on what you’ve learned AFTER the lesson, or use them to showcase what you learned while reading.
