Supplement your science teaching about animal classification with this free two-page full color chart. It features beautiful photographs of animals from these classes: mammals, birds, fish, insects, reptiles, and amphibians. The background is color-coded to a key at the top of the chart, so your students will also be practicing using a key. Print and attach to the inside of a file folder for reference in centers or mount both pages on 12X18 posterboard for a wall poster. Try printing two, cutting one apart, and using as a matching activity!
This chart is part of Animal Classes ~ A Literacy/Science Cross-Curricular Unit, a collection of 14 animal-themed literacy activities.

This item has been wonderful for my son. He loves to have fun while learning!
I'm proud to have been a teacher for 26 years, with most of my experience and my happiest days spent in the primary grades. I've taught Reading Recovery, Basic Skills, first grade, and even a first grade literacy intervention class. As a big believer in hands-on learning, you'll see that center activities and games are among my favorite resources to create! Student engagement is key to learning that lasts, so I strive to create differentiated fun activities that will keep your students excited about learning!
