Addition (Cut and Paste) Numbers and Number Words (Sums to 10 and 20)
For students in grades K-2
This addition packet includes 16 pages of addition problems with a number line and 16 identical pages without a number line totaling 32 pages.
This pack challenges students with number words replacing the addends on 16 of the pages. These 16 pages include addition problems using number words with sums to 10 on 8 pages and sums to 20 on 8 pages. Both sets of 8 pages have identical addition problems. The only difference is the number line being included for student reference or removed to challenge higher level students. If needed, students can write the number for each number word under the number words before finding the sum of each problem. Using number words provides a challenge for students who may usually rush through solving the problems.
The final 16 pages include addition problems (number addends) with sums to 10 on 8 pages and sums to 20 on 8 pages. As described above, both sets of 8 pages have identical addition problems. The only difference is the number line being included for student reference or removed to challenge higher level students.
This pack provides for differentiation with numbers and number words being included in the addition problems and with the inclusion or removal of the number line for higher or lower level students.

I am a kindergarten teacher with 22 years of teaching experience! I received my Doctor of Education degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University in June 2010. The title of my doctoral study is "Writing Conferences in Kindergarten: Using Feedback to Enhance Student Writing." My passion is teaching writing to my students and providing feedback for their writing experiences. I love teaching kindergarten. It is amazing to see students enter the classroom not even knowing how to hold a pencil and watching them become readers and writers by the end of the year. I love teaching in small groups and rotating student groups with literacy centers and math centers.
