Product Description

Do you need a way to have your students review addition and subtraction word problems?
These Common Core Aligned task cards should help.
There are 24 task cards. I also included black-line copies of the recording sheet and assessment. There are two sets of the same task cards. One set has clipart, and the other one does not in order to save on ink. I've included a separate “Addition and Subtractions Task Cards” assessment sheet using the same questions on the task cards for an alternative recording sheet or you may use it as an assessment.
These task cards are scaffolded so that you can pull certain cards to differentiate as needed:
Task cards 1-6: Add and subtract 3-digit numbers
Task cards 7-12: Add and subtract 4-digit numbers
Task cards 13-18: Add and subtract 5-digit numbers
Task cards 19-24: Add and subtract 6-digit numbers
4th Grade Common Core Standards Addressed:
4.NBT.4- Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
4.OA.3- Solve multistep word problems.

Simply run these task cards to use in small groups. You may also run the task cards two to a sheet to make smaller cards for stations.

About the Seller

After 20 years teaching grades 1, 2, 4, and 5, I am beginning a new adventure as an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher.  I am excited to branch out and explore new ways of teaching.  Over the years, I have created resources that fit the needs of my classroom.  You will mostly find math materials because for the last three years, I was only teaching math.  However, now that I am entering the world of English Language Learners, you will begin to find materials that will help ELL students in addition to helping all students with reading, writing, listening and speaking.  I believe strongly in creating materials that provide opportunities for students to be engaged in hands on learning as well as providing them opportunities to express what they know in creative ways.  I am so excited to share them with you!
